Sancerre
Cher
The situation of the old medieval city perched
on its rocky peak is preferred. From all sides, forming box, talking
lovingly maintained winemakers proud of their ancestral traditions,
the vines producing the "Sancerre" appear to mount an
assault on the city!
From
the esplanade of Porte-César, dazzled the eye discovers
the vast and harmonious Loire valley with the meandering Loire
at his feet and, in the background, the distant peaks of the Monts
du Morvan delicate pastel tones. In the maze of picturesque streets
full of charm and calm, you dream to the remains of a prestigious
past. And there are hundred points of view extraordinary to contemplate
throughout the Sancerre. It has become superfluous to praise the
outstanding quality of the wines of Sancerre. And the dung Chavignol,
tasty cheese, has joined these wines - that accompany so well
- in a very aristocratic family of products, from France who won
the most flattering labels: the name of origin. We must add to
these attractions the possibility of hiking (hiking, equestrian,
cyclists, automobiles), the cultural joys (and old stone ruins,
artistic and thematic exhibitions, art galleries) or sports in
Saint-Satur, the sister-city (superb outdoor pool near the Loire,
many tennis courts, a superb 18-hole golf course, miniature golf,
kayak-cane).
