Bar-le Duc

In 1580, Montaigne called the College of Gilles de Trèves "most beautiful town house in France that is" putting forward its stunning courtyard and harmonious architecture. This remarkable building is a major element of the Renaissance heritage of Bar-le-Duc, city of character nestled in greenery, in contact with the Champagne and Lorraine, from Châlons-en-Champagne and Nancy.
