The inside of the
castle:
Church St Symphorien
the Church is placed under the patronage
of St Symphorien, undoubtedly in relation to the Archbishop
of Tours Adalard, resulting from a great Carolingian family
of the region also established in Autun whose owner is St
Symphorien. Little after the Year Thousand it belongs to Geoffrey,
which in fact was a gift to the Abbey of Cormery. The church
is an interesting monument for the religious art of the XI
and XIIth centuries. The oldest parts go up in Xth century,
one of the naves of the current building dates from XIth century
with restorations of XIIth. In 1518 two spans are added with
the church of with dimensions north.
The most interesting part of the monument is the gate (photo
above). It includes two lines of statues; the first line has
seven characters of which Christ, the second six others (photograph
against).
