TO TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES
You can consult a general practitioner or specialist, a dentist at the hospital or in a dispensary or return to you to the service urgencies of any hospital, according to the gravity of your problem. You can also take appointment in a cabinet or make come a doctor to your hotel. The doctors can be officially agreed (tariffs fixed in agreement with the Social security) or practise free fees (thus more expensive). You inform before taking appointment. There is always a doctor of guard, but will know that the visits in residence and the consultations Sunday and public holidays are always raised. To know their co-ordinates, consult the police station or make the 15 (SAMU - medical Urgencies).

TO THE PHARMACY
The network of pharmacies is dense downtown and if their schedules are in general those of the trade (9h - 19/20h), there is always a pharmacist on duty the night, Sundays and public holidays. All pharmacies systematically post the address of the pharmacist on duty nearest. Obtaining certain drugs requires an ordinance delivered by a doctor (whom you must thus consult as a preliminary), others are on sale free and can then be provided to you without formality. The pharmacist will give you all specified useful to this subject and will be able to advise you.
REPAYMENT OF THE MEDICAL EXPENSES
If you are amenable to a European Convention country, you can be made refund consultations and care on your return. Envisage taking with you a form of International Social security E 111. Simplest is however to take a comprehensive insurance before your departure. In the event of problem, it is your insurer who will undertake all.
