This museum with the glory of the
oceans was born thanks to the will of Prince Albert 1st
and was inaugurated in 1910. It occupies an exceptional
site on the rock of Monaco. Nearly a million visitors discover
each year this temple of the Sea.
The Aquarium of the Museum: coral reefs living at more than
3000 km far from the hot seas and one of the richest collections
of the Mediterranean species.
The Micro Aquarium: Discover on line on a giant screen the
living plankton and the microscopic fauna of the Mediterranean
and tropical aquariums.
One century of history of oceanography: Permanent exposures
such as "Art of mother-of-pearl, sacred shellfish "
and "Discovery of the Ocean".
