The Zoological garden at Trégomeur, of 14 ha, proposes
exceptional visit of approximately two hours, in full
nature, in a green valley with a microclimate which supports
the vegetation and the breeding, in particular, of the
nice lemurs which, as in Madagascar, live in freedom in
the Park and reproduce. These species are threatened and
registered in the E.E.P.: European Program of Breeding.
You will discover 300 animals in semi-freedom: llamas,
ostriches, zebras, nandous, émeus, maras, monkeys
of Asia, onagers, nilgauts, peccaries, yaks, damalisques,
oryx, kangaroos, vultures deer and goats...
By a footbridge, you will access the world of the exotic
animals: tigers of Sumatra, lions, lynx, microcèbes
and some species of lemurs and monkeys on small islands,
birds: pink flamingos, marabouts, storks, ibis, etc...
Each animal can be observed in its natural space classified
as the preservor of the Nationnal Inheritance. The park
is also a place of research for the reproduction of the
endangered species and thus plays fully its part of protection
of the animal life. An inflatable castle, games for the
children, a room of conferences and teaching.
