the Zoo of Palmyre is currently the First Zoological park in France and one of most important in Europe. It extends on 14 hectares and the complete circuit measures more than 4 km. It is thus necessary to foresee 3 to 4 hours of visit during which you will observe more than 1600 animals in all kinds: carnivores (lions, wolves, panthers, tigers, cheetahs), monkeys (chimpanzees, gorillas, orangs-outans), reptiles (crocodiles of the Nile, pythons, turtles...), many species of birds, marsupials, ungulates (elephants, hippopotamuses, rhinoceros).

You will also be able to take quite a long time in front of a vast plain where zebras, gnous, impalas, ostriches and blesboks are mixed, and to attend the spectacles of sealions and parrots which for the joy of all will fill you with wonder by their dexterity. Many benches , installed in the shade of the maritime pines and oaks ,will enable you to carry out this marvellous visit at your rate.
