Altitude corresponding to the main life environment (or one of the places) of the station. This altitude is communicated by the station at the beginning of the season and hold as a point of reference for all the season of winter.
Some stations have several sectors of " life environment". In this case, the station retains only one of these sectors in term of "reference". The detail of the various sectors of the station is presented in the Snows report full/level 3, heading " free Comments ".
Presence of snow on the roofs, trees... observed at the "Altitude Station" and which gives to the life environment of the station a general "white"atmosphere.
