SOUSTONS: The good air in all seasons

Landanian villages still "authentic" of approximately 6200 inhabitants, Soustons profits from a privileged situation and an exceptional environment with its territory which at the same time coasts the ocean, at Soustons-beach, on 5 km of beaches of fine sand and which is located in the most important massif forest of Europe.
Briefly called during its history " Green Isle ", it is surrounded of 5 lakes, sailor or of fresh water:
- The large interior lake, with a surface of almost 500 hectares, reserved to the water sports, the walks in boats or the pedal boats .
One can admire it as a whole from the edge of the park to the Point of the Alders
- The marine lake of Port of Albret, 50 hectares in the shelter of the dunes and on which one practises the water sports, with a broad beach supervised in summer.
- The pond of Pinsolle, in the south of the marine lake, encircled by the course of golf and the marked out pedestrian paths.
- The north of the White lake, more withdrawn in the forest, reserved to the sailing boards, the walks in the pedal boats, with a small beach.
- The smallest and least accessible pond of Hardy, , true natural reserve, with superb points

It is here that, Mr. François Mitterrand, who is in love with these spaces, had acquired his sheep-fold of Latché.
