The Natural Reserve of Mazière
Small Mazière 47400 Villeton Tel.: 05 53 88 02 57/05 53 79 65 95. This old arm of the Garonne, which initially drew a 5 km length " pole " , represents today only a wetland of 3,5 ha of surface in final phase of filling. It is about a relic zone, single in Aquitaine, all the other environments of this type having been drained at the XIXth century.
Classified as a natural reserve since 1985, the marsh could profit from an effective management in particular in the field of hydraulics and the conservation of the habitats, thus increasing its possibilities of reception thanks to the restoration of certain vegetable communities. Permanently in the Natural Reserve of Mazière: a photo exhibition on the hosts of the Reserve, various aquariums with fish of our pond and rivers, a presentation of bird's nests nesting on the reserve, a video film on the reserve, CD Rom, interactivity, a library, exhibitions with themes: "rural civilization in the middle of Garonne" with the making of the bread in an authentic furnace with wood from the XIXth century. The Reserve accomodates you all the year on appointment

The Regional Center of the Safeguard of Wild Fauna
Ferron Park, 47400 Tonnians Tel.: 05 53 84 58 09. Created in 1980, this center accomodates and deals with in specialized structures (36 birdcages and an infirmary) more than 500 birds per year. It is today the largest of its kind in France. In addition the virtual visit of the birdcages (in order not to disturb the peace of the birds in convalescence), the visitors can discover in a personal and alive way the various adaptations to the predation which the birds knew to develop as well as the balls of evacuation and elements of the feather. The Center can be visited for free7 days a week on appointment. An educational ,pedagogical and ludic visit.

Palombière
47430 Mas d'Agenais Tel.: 05 53 79 47 14 (at the hours of meal). An authentic wood piegon opens to you its doors in the communal forest of the Mas d'Agenais. Guided tours: All the year on appointment for the groups (minimum of 15 people) Tariff: 2.30€ per person. Free for the children accompanying their parents.
