Come to discover the historic cradle of water lilies. Founded
in 1875, the. Latour-Marliacs botanies Ltd marked the history
of the international horticulture deeply due to the innovative
work of Joseph Bory Latour-MArliac that was the first to create
some rustic water lily hybrids of multiple shapes and colors.
His hybrids, award-winning to the various French and foreign
Horticultural Exhibitions, will make the admiration of the
famous impressionist painter Claude Monet, that will immortalize
them in his famous pictures «The Nymphéases ".
You will navigate through the middle of pools dating from
1875 or again you will get round the lake and will be able
to admire our National French Collection of Nymphaea from
May to September.
In July-August lotuses and exotic Nymphaeas will fascinate
you without speaking of the Victoria (gigantic Water lily)
whose leaves reach 1.5 ms of diameter.
