The Dore Mounts
The Puy de Sancy (1885m) is the highest point of the center

Condat
Borough situated in the center of two natural well marked
regions. To the west, the Artense (old rock trays, scattered
erratic blocks, moraines,…). TO the East, the Cézallier
(Streams of lavas stacked culminating to 1394m and valleys
in hod).
Riom-és-mountains
Kingdom of the yellow gentian, flower symbol of volcanos of
Auvergne, used in the manufacture of a local aperitif. To

To vicinities: Menet, high place of the stone and geology
(symposium thin July).
Valley of Cheylade / the Claux
Glacial valley where water is omnipresent (cascades, rivers
and plans of water). To vicinities: Dienne with the rock of
Laqueuille (volcanic neck) and the path of the Quirouxes (elevated
stones as to mark a road, excellent landmark for pilgrims).
Puy Mary
Its Ascension at 1558m permits to have a panorama over the
whole of the chain of the cantalien massive and valleys that
radiates all around. Its environment makes the object of a
classification as «Big National Site".
Valley of the Jordanne
Privileged setting for the visitor loving space, greedy to
leave to the meeting of the wealth of these landscapes, its
flora, its fauna and its traditional preserved and adapted
habitat to the mountainous massif: the burons.
Aurillac
The museum of volcanoes is the centre of a scientific pole
centred on the volcanism, geology and the ecology. Four rooms:
«An agitated planet, the earth» (internal working
of the earth and visible demonstrations); «the Cantal,
an earth that changes» (regional geology); «of
volcanoes and men» (volcanoes of the world and their
relation with men); «the Cantal, distributed «volcano
(assets of a vast volcanic building for the man and the environment).

Aurillac, a mind of nature,

tray of the Aubrac, Saint-Flour, south door of the Auvergne,
