Bibracte, Gaules' capital on the Beuvray
Mountain where the Eduens elected Vercingétorix leader
of all the Gaules in 53 before J.C., was proclaimed, more
than 2 000 years later «National Site ", in 1985.
for the historic interest, the country Beuvray adds, in the
South of the Regional Natural reserve of Morvan, the spells
of a vast case of greenery of 1 000 hectares of deep protected
forest ...haunted by the strange tortuous forms of the secular
beeches, queules.
Whether on foot, on horseback, or on mountain bike, tourists
can have rides on marked out paths, among which that from
Bibracte to Alésia, which crosses the mountains and
the valleys where rivers and lakes, forests and cultures harmonize,
or in Bibracte's site which arises the life of our distant
ancestors... of the South Burgundy.

To see
Bibracte's museum in the Mountain Beuvray: a synthesis of
the Celtic civilization through all Europe and to Bibracte
(the former bawdy capital of the Eduens). Objects discovered
in excavations, models, reconstructions of domestic environments
and craft, broadcasting workshops... Temporary Exhibitions.
