STROLLS OF DISCOVERY

Finistère proposes 4 700 kilometers of marked out paths for exceptional stroll, that are so close to nature. Choose the route which is appropriate to you thanks to the addresses and signs which follow, and deepen your corner of predilection with the topoguides. Very documented, they give you all the details to enable you to make your excursion a success.

Country of Iroise & Ushant, last stopovers before the huge open sea
Finis-Terrae. The West of the Occident. Nature is sacred, untameable, unexpected and generous like the people of the country. Point of Corsen. Storm. On the desiccated moor by salt, the wind whips bloods. Te ocean howls. The cliff thunders. Giddiness. The headlight of Saint-Mathieu keeps height. The menhir of Kerloas dreams of new horizons. In Guilliguy, a cross and a dolmen testify to the cohabitation of the Christian and preceltic worlds... Béniguet, Molène, Balanec, Ushant: the islands are close to each other. Tomorrow, we will go to the dunes of Blancs-Sablons, after the market of Saint-Renon. The fishermen of Conquet say that the crab is worth the detour.
Look ; the sky gets clear. Tomorrow, the weather will be blue.

Countries of the Bay of Morlaix, Mounts of Arrée, Trégor
On the coastal path, between Locquirec and Carantec, the immense beaches breathe the iodized air. The cliffs overcome the tides. The small fishing ports have the romantic charm of the withdrawn groves. By the rivers which curve between the mossy forests and the valleys, the steep crests announce the Mounts of Arrée. In this country where the ochre granite illuminates the blue of the schist, the history is engraved in the rock of the manors and the vaults of Guerlesquin or Guimaëc as in that of the parochial enclosures of Saint-Thégonnec or Plougonven. Here, the beauty is offered with simplicity like a sunset on the tumulus of Barnenez, in a feeling of infinite quietude and eternity.

Country of the Center of Finistière : paths of legends
With the korrigans on your heels, you walk on on the spinal column of the oldest mountains of the world: Mounts of Arrée. A majestic dinosaur, whose Armorican sandstone carapace, covered with heather and gorses, is transpierced by schist backbones. Between the secular feet of Roch Trévézel and Roc Trédudon, a supernatural fog wraps the boggy swamps of Yeun Elez, where the boldest will push the door of the hell. To regain their emotions , our adventurers will find refuge in the romantic park of the pink Castle of Trévarez, and protection at Notre-Dame-du-Crann in Spézet, in the Black Mountains.

Atlantic Country of Ménez - Hom, voyage to the prow of Europe
In the field of the king Marc' H, since the top of Menez -Hom, eternity ité embraces the vastness. The call of the sea guides instinctly the glance towards the peniusula of Crozon. The figurehead of the European continent, beaten by the winds, cut out by the tides, keeps its proud pace. Even the sun comes to tilt to its feet, jealously kept by military fortresses. To the North, Aulne runs between mudholes and forests. Towards the East, the wild moors of the Mounts of Arrée and the tamed plain of Porzay extend. On the edge of Armor and Argoat, the sacred city of Locronan weaves its hank of lanes. They spin from fountains to vaults, and from martyrdoms to menhirs, in the wake of our ancestors.

Country of Bigouden Cap Sizun - Douarnenez, the ways of the end of the world
Frayed like the prow of a transatlantic sailing ship, this vast peninsula is carved for the open sea. From the top of its long cliffs, the panoramic sight gets lost in the horizon. Beyond the course strewn with cross and vaults, a flight of seagulls plunges towards the dunes to accompany back the flotillas of fishing until the auction. The promise of a feast of fish and shellfish on the terraces of the discrete harbours with balneal charms. To two steps of the five decapitated bell-towers. A pride in the country of the cap, oceanic sentinel.

Fouesnantais country - Glazik Country - Quimper, walk in the shade of the apple trees
On the back of a goëland, you fly over a turquoise blue lagoon: the archipelago of Glénan. To a few kilometers of a flight of bird, here is Fouesnant, another paradise of fauna and flora. Around the polder of Mousterlin,of the White Sea or mudhole of the Cap Coz, you will discover between wood and marsh: the mallards, coots, brushes, ashen herons.. From Bénodet, Odet furrows between wood and orchards of apple trees which give the best cider of the world. In the horizon appear the arrows of the cathedral of Quimper, as invaluable as earthenware, as thin as crepes of "bilig".

Country of Portes de Cornouaille, in the wake of the painters
In the southern Finistère, Cornouaille marries the Atlantic littoral in weddings of light. Witnesses of the tumultuous passion of the ground and the ocean, Pierres Debout (the Upright Stones) and the belfry of the Closed City of Concarneau tell the strange history of this country of sailors and peasants. Here, the Devil caused chaos at the court of the rocks and the wild moors. What a contrast with the divine softness which bathes, at the bottom of the inlet, Quimperlé and Pont-Aven! Turn the mills. Sing the thatched cottages. The heart of cornouaille, anchored in the splits and the fishing ports, rocks your walk until the white sand beaches.
