MORET-SUR-LOING

HISTORY ALONG THE WATER...
Moret-sur-Loing enters the French history with crash in Xlth century, when, annexed to the young kingdom of France, it becomes a frontier town vis-a-vis Burgundy and Champagne. One then sees rising 1200 meters of flanked fortifications and twenty big towers, with three doors, that countered all the attacks. and soon, in spite of the accidents of the history,the softness of life settles in Moret-sur-Loing. No one could resist the peaceful course of Loing which runs out under the glance of the bell-tower of the church Notre Dame.
The painter called Sisley lived many years in this city which he loved, combing at the edge of Loing the impressions caused by the landscape, under a sky with changing reflections...

IMPRESSIONIST DAY
MORET-SUR-LOING, invites to discover its attractions by holding your "impressionist day" at the Office of autism. This fixed price includes; the accompanied visit of the city and its principal monuments, a basket picnic to lunch on the edges of Loing and a walk in the boat on Loing. Saturdays and Sundays from mid- June to mid-September. At the HOUR WHEN the day fades away, strands of the Loing decorate themselves of light, music and strange characters bewitch the spectator...

THE MAGIC OF THE DECOR
Within an exceptional framework, an astonishing show is played where poetry, emotion and humour lead you to enchantment and imagination.
When the city falls asleep, a strange light is reflected on Loing, the bridge of stone becomes animated. With it, reappears the history of Moret-sur-Loing and all the characters who wrote it return to life...

A POETIC DREAM
Nymphea, a muse of the rivers, carries out the dance and involves the spectator on the ways of time... Then the adventures of the history emerge, always fairy-like, sometimes mingled with dramas and tears, of winks of comical eyes, fantastic surprises or popular jubilations for an oneiric voyage in the universe of Moret-sur-Loing... In turn, appear the men, powerful, artists, imaginary characters or simple mortals carved in the light, carried by a powerful band sound. They reveal little by little to the dazzled spectator, the secular secrecy of Loing...

A NEW SHOW
This show was born in 2002, written by Gégé and Vava Candy, old of the troop of Big Bazard of Michel Fugain, and creators of the superb show "the Master of the dreams and colors" played with the community of communes Melun Val de Seine in 2000 and 2001.
They imagined a very new show for Moret-sur-Loing, reinvented scenic spaces, reinforced the technical means, packed the teams of voluntary who achieve each evening the prowesses for the greatest happiness of the spectators.

THE MILL OF THE TALES
the doors of another world open on the imaginary one... Throughout the accounts of a storyteller, Moret becomes a populated legend of curious characters...
The Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays afternoon from June 14 to September 21. Representation every hour from15 to 18, duration 20mn.

CONSERVATORY OF THE BICYCLE
Located in an old factory of manufacture of bicycle pieces, this original museum preserves a whole collection of cycles of the XIXth century up to our days: an obliged passage for the fans of the "small queen": Opened only on saturdays and Sundays afternoon.

TO TASTE: THE SUGAR OF BARLEY OF NUNS OF MORET
Moret ,known for its sweet speciality, the rock candy of Nuns of Moret has its museum presenting an exhibition on the history of this sweet and a movie that retraces all stages of its artisanal manufacture.
Opened only on Sundays afternoon and public holidays.
