On the doors of Paris, Normandy runs like a long quiet river. FromTréport to the Saint-Michel Mount, the wind sweeps the concern. Start by better breathing. AUTHENTIC NORMANDY
Normandy imposes itself since always as a haven of peace. Skilfully playing the complementarity between sea and countryside, the blue and the green, the grove fills all passions and appeases all the desires.
a sailor, the thin sand beaches of Cabourg or the pebbles of Étretat will bring serenity and peace to you. The famous hollow needle at the sunset is a single show. The western frontage of Cotentin ensures you a passport for the authentic anglonormandic islands.
On the other hand, if you prefer to take the paths of crossing, an unexpected show will seduce you.
The national forests,the orchards of apple trees,the huge meadows, the refined manors and castles, the rocks of Norman Switzerland, the swamps of Bessin, the tradition and nature are harmonized for the pleasure of the eyes. The authentic Normandy gathers an infinity of landscapes, pastoral and bucolic decorations, that you follow the road of the cider, that of the fruits, the granite, of the Caux dovecotes, that of the ivory and spices or the road of the stud farms and the castles. Normandy is an area where nature is queen. To be convinced, it is enough to leave to the discovery of its four regional natural reserves. Rocked and worked by the meanders of Seine, the park of Brotonne imposes itself like an incomparable source of life. The forest reigns there as a Master, and the possibilities of stroll on the footpaths are inexhaustible. It is the same when you penetrate in the park of Normandy-Maine near to the departments of l'Orne et Manche. The large forest massifs wrap Bagnoles which is a famous thermal spa and Alençon confering majesty to it. Normandy is multiple. The Park of the Marais of Cotentin and Bessin around Carentan and that of Perche offer remarkable sites for their natural environment (polders and marsh for one, peat bogs in wetland for the other) and for the fauna and the flora which they shelter. But Normandy before all was adopted by its great men such as Malherbe, Corneille, Flaubert, André Maurois, Barbey d' Aurevilly, Alphonse Allais, Guy of Maupassant, Jean de La Varende or Alain who could not resist to put it in stage.

ACTIVE NORMANDY
Endowed with such a maritime frontage, the vivifying Normandy is obviously the paradise of the sportsman and fitness Make a halt and evacuate the image of the subway, of the corridors without horizon. You enter the kingdom of space. The sea and the wind offer the infinite to you, the numerous seaside resorts will accomodate you in all simplicity. The horse, king of animals in our area, awaits you for the long strolls through wood, the greens, green all the year, make the happiness of the golfers of Outre-Manche and besides. The innumerable courts of tennis will enable you to find the breath. You can also discover our soil by taking the multiple marked out footpaths, by climbing the rocks of Norman Switzerland, or the cliffs on the edge of Seine. Normandy is appreciated on foot, on horseback , on bicycle, in balloon, the canoe, board, sailing chariot or on board of a boat. Then, hoist the yard!

CRACKING NORMANDY
Close the eyes, imagine for one instant. Let yourself be guided by the perfume of the pommel, and especially do not try to resist the oysters of full sea, the scallops, the lobsters and the plateau of Dieppe would be vexés . Its table companions are all luscious. The chicken of the valley of Auge has thigh, the duck presses itself in the rouennaise and the leg of pre - salty lamb jums with joy of impatience. The omelette of the mother Poupard in Saint- Michel Mount and the fashionable tripe of Caen run then, preceded by the black sausage of Mortagne or the fathead of Vire. Then, educate your palate with a marrowy Camembert cheese, a merry heart of Neufchâtel, a tender pont-l'évêque or a livarot which delighted the king Soleil. Milk softens just like sugar. The caramel of Isigny, the “bourdelots or the teurgoule” are always accompanied by a good dry or soft cider. The apple is omnipresent in Normandy. Cracking apples, soft apples for melting tarts, acid apples for the famous Norman hole, the apple-brandy acquired its letters of nobility. The big bosses confer majesty and pleasure to it. Happiness could not be total without a finger of benedictine of Fécamp.
