National Park of Ecrins
Established in 1973, the Parc National des Ecrins is the first in France in terms of area (270 000 ha). The elevation is between 800 and 4102 m (Barre des Ecrins), which earned him the label of "European Park of the High Mountain". Since 1992, the Park management is located in Castle Charance and space reserved for the Home allows the public to discover the many publications (guides, posters, tapes, etc ...) on the flora, fauna and the many activities the Park.

The plateau of Gap-Bayard
Located 7 km north of Gap, 1250 m above sea level, the communal ownership of 220 ha at first pastoral vocation was partly forested by the NFB in 1914 to counteract the ravages of the wind on the agglomeration gapençaise.
In 1970, the first home-country skiing is located and 50 km of trails are now passable. Since 1980, the opening of the Center allows the oxygenation Home seminars, classes or classes of snow and many sports. In 1989, the creation of a public 18-hole golf course between forests and pastures as well as the development of two fitness of 3.5 km and 6.5 km can discover this beautiful natural Mountain.

Gap-Chaudun
Initially Col Bayard, you can access by car to pass and join Gleize walk through the forest, the old village of Chaudun abandoned at the end of the last century. The municipality was then attached to the Gap and the lands were purchased by the Water and Forests. Walking through the trails, it is not unusual to be able to see the sheep that now populate this valley where the Little Buëch rises.

Hill OF Puymaure
It was on this hill in 1577 Lesdiguières, military leader of the reformed religion, built a fortress after the Gap by his troops. This citadel was razed by order of Richelieu in 1633.
In the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, well-exposed hillsides Puymaure Gapençais allowed to cultivate the vine until the late 50s. This is a place for walking neighborhood who can enjoy an exceptional view on the particular configuration of the urban landscape that the city of Gap.
