Saint Quentin
Saint-Quentin
has always occupied a strategic position between the Kingdom
of France and Flanders. Faithful to the King and the Fatherland,
it often takes up arms against the invaders, including the
Spanish in 1557. Prosperous city, she got one of the first
municipal charter in 1080. Occupied by the enemy in 1914,
it was destroyed to 80%. She has returned from a small town
where life is good.
Washed by the Marais de la Somme, whose source is a few miles
to Saint-Quentin Fonsommes has the
