The Beaujolais Country is an invitation to the journey with its mounts and its verdant valleys, its acres of centennial grapevines, its country of the Pierre Dorées and its corners of nature marrying the Saône. The Big Lyons, dynamic agglomeration and developed, blooms around its city centerc. Deep-rooted to the heart of one of the most beautiful urban sites of which one can dream - a stream and a river uniting to the foot of two hills - Lyons, city light, shelters an exceptional historic inheritance, writes down to the world heritage of the Unesco. The Of Lyons offers to the visitor its panoramas of Average Mountain, its alternation of arduous slopes and small valleys, its original farms, its castles, its Romanesque chapels and its patrimonial sitec. Finally The Pilat rhodanien, with its Regional Natural Park, is ideal to practice the activities outdoor, with its small hills covered of well-known vineyards toppling toward the Rhone; its sites preserved permitting a true communion with the natural element and its innumerable possibilities of hikec.
To unveil the one thousand and a facet our department, to reveal its singular identity, to put in light its secrets, us asked photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand to achieve a report of the Rhone seen of the sky. A common vision of the earth and the soil, an enthusiasm for the nature and the desire to warp a new look on the department and its united inhabitants uc.
