The historical road
of the Valley of the Kings
It is about a great route used since centuries along the biggest
French river, Loire. This valley is attended by the kings
of France who, with Capétiens, fix their incipient
dynasty in Orleans before choosing Paris as a capital. Valois
and Bourbons frequently return there since Val de Loire is
only at two days on horseback from Paris. If the large Val
de Loire deserves the evocative title of "Valley of the
Kings", it remains an important economic axis. It is
also an appointment for the blooming of architecture, the
art of living as well as a crucible for the thought and the
evolution of ideas. The "Valley of the Kings" is
an inhabited garden ready to receive you. |
