HISTORY
Small village amid the vines, it take the name of Vinogilo
since the XIth century. In 1316, an earthquake destroys the
houses set up along Barangeon. The rebuilding of the habitat
will be done around a relay of station, close to the ford
of Barangeon, whose hamlet takes the name. In May 1491, on
the "Bridge of Barangeon", happened the reconciliation
between the duke of Orleans and his cousin the king Charles
VIII . Two archeological sites are located in "Vernusse
and the" Vieux Vignoux ". The castle of Blosset
which is the old feudal castle of Bourdeille and the castle
of Villemenard make it possible to recall the history of the
village. Yèvre, Barangeon and Croulas cross the commune.
Three mills are still standing up on their banks (Mills of
Vernusse, Sein and the New Mill). The commune developed thanks
to the boring of several roads and in particular of the main
road 76.
