Located on the most beautiful prospect of Paris, in mid
-way between the garden of Tileries and the Arch of Defense,
the Triumphal arch is the climax of the Triumphal Way. Open
from 9.30 to 23 (summer), and from 10 to 22.30 (winter).

The museum of Arts and Trades, founded in 1794, is installed
in the abbey of SaintMartin in the Fields. Renovated and
reopend in January 2000. Open from 10 to 18 and Thursday

the Library offers 1 600 places of reading distributed over
5 thematic departments covering all the fields of knowledge.
Collection of 180 000 volumes. (1996,the architect is Domenique
Perrault). Open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 to 20 and
Sunday from 12 to 19. Closed on Monday and festivals.

OF NOTRE-DAME DE PARIS
Notre -Dame ,a gothic masterpiece designed by Maurice Sully,
was built between XIIth and XIVth centuries (1163-1345).

to Friday from 8 to 18.45, saturdays and Sunday from 8 to
19.45. Tours: all the days from 10 to 18.

the National Center of Art and culture of George Pompidou
accomodates the National Museum of Modern art which has
currently more than 1 500 works, a public library of information,
exhibitions, concerts, cycles of cinema, and is renovated
since January 2000. Opening all the days from 11 a.m. to
21pm. Closed onTuesday. Brancusi workshop open from 13 to
21.
CEMETERY
OF PÈRE-LACHAISE
Here rests, in particular, Héloïse et Abélard,
La Fontaine, Chopin, Musset, Proust, Jim Morrison, Oscar
Wilde. The last defenders of the Commune were shot against
the enclosing wall called Wall of the Federate ones. Opening

OF SCIENCES AND INDUSTRY – GEODE
30 000 m2 of interactive exHIBITIONS, animations for kids
and adults, to the discovery of scientific projections of
XXIth century. Géode, a movie theater equipped with
a hemispherical screen of 1 000 ml. Opening from 10 to 18,

The City of Music is at the same time a place of information,
of documentation, concerts, discovery of the inheritance

the Invalids constitute one of the most prestigious sets
of Paris: the Hotel of the Invalids, sheltering the museum

the first half of the XIXth century. The Pyramid, carried

NATIONAL OPERA OF PARIS GARNIER
A work of Charles Garnier (1875), the Opera of Paris is
a monumental success of the Second Empire. Opening: the
summer from 10 to 18, the winter from 10 to 17
PALACE OF CONGRESS OF PARIS
Accomodates national and international display ranging from
10 to 7 000 people. Exhibition up to 19 000 ml. 2 000 hotel
rooms on the site and catering for 4 000 people.
EIFFEL TOWER
Produced for the World exhibition of 1889, the Eiffel Tower
became the symbol of Paris in the whole world. From the
third floor, a widespread sight on Paris andIle-de France

MUSEUM Of ORSAY
Collections of paintings, sculptures, art items... from
