THE
LARGE MOUND, WATER, NATURE, SKY, SUN...
From earth as well as sea, the Large Pyramid is the emblematic
figure of the Large Mound. Conceived in 1974 by Jean Balladur,
it sets its large sail vis-a-vis to the port. With its 16
floors, it is the highest construction of the city, inspired
of the shapes of the Crest Saint-Loup, that is visible in
the horizon.
Inspired by the temples named Incas de Teotihuacan in Mexico,the
architecture, created by Jean Balladur, gives all its originality
to the city. This choice of pyramidal forms made it possible
to give a maximum sunning to the terraces, and the site of
each building was designed to make it possible to the vegetation
to develop with the shelter of the maritime spray. This makes
of Large Mound one
of the greenest communes of Europe.
The Large Mound offers a diversity of landscapes according
to the district where you will find the Mound of Levant which
is next to Grau du Roi, Point Zero with its beach and its
center of thalasso, the Mound of Couchant and its numerous
residences of hiring, the Small Mound in the greenery for

between the water skiing at sea, the sailboard, the upward
parachute or even the under marine diving. After a well filled

to make a stopover at the terrace of a bar and to walk along
the quays at the end of midday where all the tradesmen open

The 7 kilometers of thin sand beach of the station are the
subject of a constant maintenance to maintain a littoral of
quality (daily cleaning of sand using sifters, control of
bathing waters).15 sanitary places were arranged on the beach,
equipped with showers as well as three rescue stations that
will ensure the safety and the monitoring of the bathes. On
the public and private beaches, play activities annd sporting
tournaments are organized for the greatest pleasure of kids
and adults! In soft slope the beach is ideal for the bathing
