VOSGES

I never tasted so strongly the beauties of nature "writes in 1786 Madam de Staël in cure in Plombières among the fir trees of the Vosges. Further, the mountain makes the large back, warmed by the sun, rocked by the songs and the whistles of the birds. Here, the mythical " blue line of the Vosges", border of the fatherland at the time of separation, and national emblem of the reconquest, is offered to the glances.

VOSGES IN SUMMER
In this paradise of greenery, the walker leaves to discover an authentic nature, where to meet a stag, a roe-deer or a chamois that has nothing extraordinary. The in love one with nature discovers in Vosges a preserved flora, lily, orchis, digital and arnica, but also the terrible and poisonous drosera, in the hollow of the peat bogs.
Ground of sports and leisures by excellence, the hikers find in the Vosges a place of stay to the level of their passion. The mountaineerwill be able to be obviously devoted to his preferred sport. For the great shiver, the paragliding is required, and a descent out of toboggan of summer gets memories of unforgettable bursts of laughter. The Vosgean lakes make the delight of the sailboarders, but also of the fishermen who will be able to delight themselves of trout fario and other fish of which abounds the Vosgean water. Nothing can be compared to the charm of a strolls on the boat on a lake where to plunge in a refreshing water is always possible. For the beginners or confirmed kayakers, the waterfalls spout out impetuously. Ponds, lakes rivers, in the Vosges, water is declined in all its states, alleviating, vivifying, tonic and... curative with a hydrotherapy of a world fame. Nested in a case of greenery, the thermal spas refreshing, just like they divert with their golfs and casinos.

VOSGES IN WINTER
You are a beginner skier? Amateur of sporting exploitations? In love with nature and the large air? Vosges will undoubtedly allure you! Because here you will enjoy the best of winter, in an exceptionally preserved natural environment. As for "alpine" ski, there is for all the tastes... and of all the colors: not less than 90 ski lifts (including 9 chair-lifts) which serve nearly 120 tracks of descent, distributed on the stations of Gérardmer, Bresse, Saint- Maurice-sur-Moselle, Bussang, Ventron, Valtin and Xonrupt - Longemer.
And it is not all: lit tracks, sometimes even voiced, allow the practice of the night ski; a system of ultra sophisticated artificial snowing up equips many sites, representing a total of almost 350 snow-blowers, that is to say one of the largest parks of its kind in Europe, and of course of the staduims of snow-board, where the surfers and other amateurs of snowblade will be able to devote themselves to their passion in full safety. But Vosges it is also the paradise of the traditional ski touring and the skating. With nearly 300 kilometers of perfectly marked out and rammed routes, which curve between lakes and forests, you have the choice between the peaceful family excursions or the sporting performances.
The inspiration is the girl of nature. It follows its course: air and wind, ground, water, the forest still and always. At the middle of the Regional Natural reserve of Lorraine, the World Biennial of Ballooning, first world gathering of balloons with that of Albuquerque (New Mexico), brings together one thousand crews from fifty five nations and the five continents. A tradition that is inherited from the aeronaut Pilâtre de Rozier born in Metz.
